Paypal issue
February 11, 2011I woke up very early today (not exactly sure why) and I saw an email notification that came from Paypal. This is the first time I saw this and was quite shocked at its content. One of my previous clients was asking for a refund! He issued a dispute to Paypal. This is quite alarming since my Paypal account now shows a NEGATIVE amount. I have never been “broke” on Paypal, much more, owe money on Paypal. My virtual services is my bread and butter so THIS IS A BIG DEAL for me.
Let me tell you a summary of the story. My side.
My agreement with this client is that I get paid weekly (no advance payments, just weekly payments after my work is done). The first week was great! He even asked me to send him a Paypal request. The following weeks were going from bad to horrid! I had to remind him numerous times (through Paypal and emails) that I needed the money for work that was done January 10-14. He sent payment 2 weeks after! Then he asks me for the things I did the previous week, to which I complied. I sent him his leads list and the pricelist he’s asked me to do for his website. This task was actually part of the following week, not of January 10-14, which I billed him for. At this time, I was not keen on continuing to work, since it’s becoming stressful. The client demands for new tasks but DOES NOT pay on time. During this period, I was solely working for him. No other clients. The pay is not that good either. It was a “charity” work (almost). I was only earning half of what I usually charge. But I took the bait, since I just got back on the market after giving birth last October. I also thought that since his name involved God (literally!), he was a good person. I was wrong. I don’t think I’ll ever be a good judge of character. I mean, this same person, hired me months ago. He actually discriminated me for being pregnant and I was really devastated. Later on he just logged me out of his system and just didn’t pay. I DID NOT dispute since I thought it would just add to the stress. And stil, when he offered me a job again, I said yes willingly. A real idiot, yes. I should’ve been smarter.
Now, he sends this dispute on Paypal. I can’t believe this! It actually (AGAIN) adds stress to my now stressful situation (hubby is going abroad to work). I will not mention names YET, as I am waiting for a response both from Paypal and this certain client. BUT I will definitely write about this again. I may or may not mention names on that post. It all depends on the outcome.

Another 2011 Project
I have a series of projects going for my 2011. One of which was to increase my earnings by blogging. So how do I do that?
Last year, I’ve officially started earning through my blogs. Though not much, it has opened a completely different perspective. Now that I have read and asked around about it, I will also share it with you, dear readers.
I noticed that you need to drive traffic (a lot of it!) to your website so you get credibility that you have readers, and your ad sponsors and whatnots willhave proof that they can actually “hire” your blog. Then you have to register on different blog-earning websites (I’ll post about this later). You also need to register to forums so you can promote your website. These are 3 basic things that you need to work on to be able to start.

Paying debts with payday loans
December 10, 2010Have you ever been in too much debt that you had to have some payday loans? Well, I did. I owed my family money and some other people. So I had to get all my resources, one of which was a payday loan, and pay them one by one, bit by bit. I was getting in too much trouble for being a big spender that I am. I got too addicted with gadgets, telling myself that I needed every single one for work. Now, I realize that I need to get out of this sinkhole and start anew. I’ve started by getting payday loans. Payday loans are very much helpful especially now that I need that money almost instantly so I won’t have to pay the sky high interest. Imagine, if I had to wait for my paycheck to come, it would’ve cost me double of what some payday loans interest offer.
If like me, you owe a lot from different resources like people, companies and credit cards, you have to figure out how much you owe in total. Check the interest rates and how much you are actually paying. Most of the time, what you pay only goes to the interest and does not get deducted from the principal, which is a bummer really. Enumerate your options, just like the payday loans. Then pay as much as you can, the soonest you can. Now as for your new payday loan, set up a payment plan. After you have paid your debts, be sure to have a budget the next time so you won’t experience the same thing again.
Although there are precautions too. You have to check which company you approach for payday loans. They need to be legit and offer the best solution and of course, lower interest. Research about them in the internet and ask around for people who’ve used that company. Just some simple but useful tips when considering getting payday loans. I hope that like me, you can pay your creditors on time with these payday loans. Make sure that you pay them on time or you’ll be in trouble the more.
MY CHRISTMAS WISH THIS YEAR: A NOKIA C7
Why? Because I deserve one! Simple.
I have been an avid Nokia user since they released the Nokia5110 when I was in college. I think I even had one of those big ones before that. Now that I just recently gave birth and things have not been well for the past year, I believe I deserve a Nokia phone as good as this.
I am about to start looking for another online job and hopefully things will turn out better starting this holiday. I want a fresh start. For me, for my kids, for my family, and for work.
Why do I want a Nokia C7? Because its a complete techie tool for me! I’m not much of a geek but I know my gadgets. It has a very sleek design which is PERFECT for the stylish in me. Features like maps and integrated social network is an absolute must for both business and personal meetings. And when I’m alone at the house, which is often, there’s always the Apps and the Ovi store to count on. It has one of the best mobile entertainment anyone could hope for. I can capture my children’s most precious moments using the 8MP camera. I can listen to my favorite music in all its might with its Nokia Mini Speaker MD-9. Really an all-in-one! I can enumerate more, but my blog can only do much. You need to go out and get one yourself so you can try it out!
I would be the most happiest person on the planet should I get this Christmas wish! Just look at that!

Written June 25, 2010 Being a virtual assistant for several years now, and having lived in several different places in Metro Manila, I can safely say that I have experienced all there is to Internet Connection In Manila. Growing up, I was one of the few kids in my own circle, who was internet and computer savvy. My family continually upgraded our PC specs every time there was something (worth our money) new. No, I am not a programmer, a designer or any of that techie slash guru peeps. But I know my way around. I thought of writing this post as recently, I was on the lookout for a good ISP in our new house in the northern part of the metro. And man, it was hard!
